Introducing Clay Club
The Pottery Perk for Highlands Art League Members

  • Clay club is for seasoned potters who have taken one class at HAL for hand building and two for wheel throwing.

  • Must be a member of HAL - $60.00 per year

  • Wheel members must be "Certified Centered" before they can work independently in the studio.

  • Clay Club does not include teaching.  Pottery teachers are not being paid to instruct "Clay Club" members.

  • Clay Club will only be held during other scheduled pottery classes.

  • These privileges can be revoked at any time by HAL staff.

  • Number of participants may be limited to avoid overcrowding.

  • Those who are paying for classes get equipment priority.

  • Participants are not to give any instruction to those in class.​​

3 Tiered Clay Club Membership
     Tier 1 - 40.00/month 2 studio sessions
       Tier 2 -60.00/month 3 studio sessions
       Tier 3 -80.00/month 4 studio sessions

ALL CLAY MUST BE PURCHASED FROM HIGHLANDS ART LEAGUE @ $2.00 PER POUND.  NO OUTSIDE CLAY WILL BE ALLOWED.
THE ABOVE PRICE IS TO COVER PRODUCTS SUCH AS KILN FIRINGS 2 x/MONTH AND USE OF GLAZES AND TOOLS.

CONSENT:  I WILL RESPECT AND HONOR THE PRIVILEGE TO WORK INDEPENDENTLY.  I HAVE LEARNED THE BASIC POTTERY SKILL OF WEDGING SO MY PIECES SURVIVE THE 
KILN. IF I HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT POTTERY OR WANT TO LEARN A NEW SKILL, I WILL HAVE TO TAKE ANOTHER CLASS OR WORKSHOP FOR FURTHER INSTRUCTION.  AS A MEMBER AND PARTICIPANT I WILL FOLLOW THE SIGN IN PROCEDURES AND DOCUMENT THAT I AM IN STUDIO TIME MEMBER.
