In this six week session, you will learn hand building techniques to create three functional and decorative ceramic pieces.

There will be plenty of demonstrations and examples to follow with room to make it your own and add your personal creativity.

Beginners and experienced potters are welcome.

Students are requested to bring the following to the first class:

  • old dish towel

  • apron

  • 15 qt plastic tub with lid

Kim has been creating ceramic art since 2005. I learned under professional ceramist Jim Connell in Rock Hill, SC at Winthrop University. She has taught a variety of art forms to all ages as a K - 12 educator including 7 years teaching high school art, ceramic and photography courses.

Kim states: "Ceramics and sculpture are my favorite forms of art to work in! I love the transformation that happens when a plain block of clay or a flat piece of wood or metal becomes something new. "

Tuition pays for four sessions.

Because space is limited, we do not issue refunds or allow for makeup classes.
