Kim's class is great for beginners and experienced potters.  Beginners will enjoy having a step-by-step demonstration to guide you in creating your own unique piece of functional or decorative pottery that expresses your individual personality.  This may be a mug, bowl, dish, vase etc.  Each session will begin with a different piece.  After you have made your first piece following guided steps you will be able to make your choice of additional pieces.

Students are requested to bring the following to the first class:

  • old dish towel

  • apron

  • 15 qt plastic tub with lid

Kim has been creating ceramic art since 2005. I learned under professional ceramist Jim Connell in Rock Hill, SC at Winthrop University. She has taught a variety of art forms to all ages as a K - 12 educator including 7 years teaching high school art, ceramic and photography courses.

Kim states: "Ceramics and sculpture are my favorite forms of art to work in! I love the transformation that happens when a plain block of clay or a flat piece of wood or metal becomes something new. "

Tuition pays for four sessions or six sessions based on choice.

Because space is limited, we do not issue refunds or allow for makeup classes.
