Art Corked/Uncorked

Art Uncorked/Art Corked

ART UNCORKED (Ages 21+):

If you haven’t tried an Art Uncorked class yet, ask your friends – they’ll tell you what you are missing!  HAL offers this wildly popular concept to non-artists and artist alike. With our Art Uncorked series, you’ll complete a project in one evening and enjoy a fun, laid-back evening of creativity with wine and light snacks offered.  Paint, sculpt, or complete your own project along with our artists, or pick your own variation to match your unique style. Join us for an open Art Un-corked session or let us arrange a private party for your group of ten or more. We also offer private parties for groups of five (5) or more – where you work with the artists to pick the painting or project – and enjoy the fun and enjoyment of a private session with our professional artists.

September & October Saturdays,

Rock, Rattle and Roll Series – Painting to the Oldies

In this 2-hour session with artist Beverly Marshall, you and your friends will get back into the groove of your favorite decade(s) as you listen to the music of the era, drink your beverage of choice (age appropriate), have some snacks (both provided by HAL) and join in the fun of painting an icon from Rock and Roll history. No matter if you were a twist and shout teenager of the 50’s, loved those mellow tunes of the Boys from Britain, grooved to the beat of Bowie, or dreamed of your own Little Red Corvette while cruising to the sounds of Prince, you’ll find something fun and interesting about this twist on the old classic Art Uncorked classes. Pick one or come to all (pricing is per session). Want to have even more fun? Join others as they vie for class favorite by dressing “as you were” or might have been back in the day for the decade you’re revisiting on canvas. Weekly winners will receive a gift certificate for $20, good toward your next class.  Grab your friends, family and come rock, rattle and roll at HAL!

Saturday classes start at 5:00 pm.

Tuesday, October 1 and 8, 6- 8 p.m. Scrappy Sculpture

Back by popular demand,  HAL’s Barb Hall and Nancy Palmer invite you to take a new take on Art Uncorked. Come put your stamp on autumn decor by creating a draped concrete pot out of an old towel, favorite worn-out sweatshirt or T-shirt, or flannel blanket. Add a little color, and finish it off with selecting a plant that says “fall-a-daysl” to adorn your patio or front step. Bring your friends, and we’ll provide the textiles, cement, water, form, instruction, colors, refreshments, and fun. Week one will be spent ‘playing in mud’ as you sculpt your pot, then you’ll  return the next week to paint your masterpiece. If you loved making mud pies or a mess when you were small, you’ll love this little bit of creative fun getting “artsy”.

ART CORKED (Any Ages):

While Art Uncorked is an opportunity to get together with your adult friends and family members to have fun creating art while enjoying adult beverages, we don’t want those younger than 21 or those who abstain from enjoying an alcohol-free Art experience. HAL offers this wildly popular concept to non-artists and artists alike. With our Art Corked series, you’ll complete a project in one evening and enjoy a fun, laid-back evening of creativity with soda, water, and light snacks offered.  Paint, sculpt, or complete your own project along with our artists, or pick your own variation to match your unique style. Join us for an open Art Corked session or let us arrange a private party for your group of ten (10) or more.

Saturday September 14, 9–11 a.m. Racing for Home: Florida’s Sea Turtles

Every year within a few hours drive east of Sebring, Florida’s sea shores that have been a haven for sea turtle nests for most of the summer season come alive after dusk with a mass exodus from nests to sea, as these tiny creature race homeward to the Atlantic. Join Florida artist Alice Hansen for a delightful morning of capturing that late summer memory on canvas, while having fun chatting with friends and family, from 8 to 98. You add the color, the spirit of memory, and your creative twist, while HAL provides canvas, paint, brushes, alcohol-free refreshments and easy instruction, making everyone draw a little closer to their memories of late summer and the shore. [Limited to 10 participants.]
