Are you an artist interested in teaming up with Highlands Art League (HAL) to showcase your artwork and share your inspiration? Throughout the year, HAL provides several opportunities for you to showcase and share your work.  This page is dedicated to you, the artist, on the variety of opportunities HAL offers; please join us and take part in our mission to encourage emerging and evolving artists of all ages and to positively impact our community through the celebration and exploration of the arts.

The Highlands Museum of the Arts is looking  for Professional Artists to exhibit with us! 

We are excited to announce our Featured Artist selection process is now open! We are looking for emerging and established artists that would like a featured spot at our museum for the 2021 and 2022 venues. Come exhibit with us!

If you would like to be considered for a  featured artist spot, at this up and coming Museum, please apply here. 

Here is what you will need. 

  • Title of the Exhibit 
  • Artist Bio – This is about how you became an artist. (Note: Not an artist resume)
  • Artist Statement – 250 words about your artwork as a whole 
  • Artist Resume- Example: places you have exhibited, awards you have won, magazines your art has been featured in.  (Note: if you do not have an artist resume, we would still consider you)
  • Contact information such as email address where we can reach you and a valid phone number. 
  • Up load 4 Images of your art. If there are issues with the image loader, please email them to us. Include the artist name in the email. Send to
    • Images of your art must contain the art work ONLY, No frame, no back ground. See the example
    • file names for the images,  should be saved in this format prior to up load.  FirstNameLastNameTitleOfTheArt.jpg 
  • Pay the jury fee of $35.00. Click HERE

The Highland Museum of the Arts is proud to present this exciting opportunity to all artists located in the Florida.
Calling All Florida Artists. We want to see your creativity and your inventiveness! This open call if is for any artist residing in or vacationing in Florida. All topics are welcome. All mediums are welcome. Come join in this exciting new opportunity to have your work be part of our show! Join Us!
Entry Fee (ALL FLORIDA): $35 for Highlands Art League Members. $45.00 for Non- Members for 1 to 6 pieces of art.
A Juried Art Exhibition presented by The Highlands Museum of the Arts (MoTA) and the Highlands Art League, 351 W. Center Avenue, Sebring Florida
The Highlands Museum of the Arts invites artists residing or vacationing anywhere in Florida to participate. Selected works will be exhibited at the Highlands Museum of the Arts from March 19, 2021 through April 30, 2021. The subject matter will be any, and all aspects of art created by Florida Artists. We want to see your creativeness, your interpretation, your inventiveness. Traditional ideas and those outside of the box are welcome.
Located in historic downtown Sebring, the Highlands Art League has been a leader in the arts community since 1967. By providing services to visual artists, arts organizations, students, and the public as well as museum space for upcoming and accomplished artists, the Highlands Art League and the Highlands Museum of the Arts strives to inspire participation and passion for the arts in our community. The Highlands Art League provides various programs for the community including classes, art education, summer camp for kids, a yearly fine arts festival, The Fine Arts and Craft Festival of Highlands County, a member gallery as well as maintaining the Highlands Museum of the Arts and much more.

Selection notice: on or before March 5, 2021
Delivery of artwork: March 15 12:00 PM– 2:00 PM. Shipped work must arrive between March 13, 2021- March 17, 2021  
Exhibition Opening Reception & Awards: Friday, March 19, 2021, 5:00 PM to 7PM
Pick up artwork: Monday, May 3, 2021 from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Entry Form, Fees and Deadline

Applications, fees, and images must be received by on or before March 1, 2021  11:59 PM, Eastern Standard Time to be considered for this juried show. No applications, images or fees will be accepted after the deadline or by mail. Email images of the artwork to
A non-refundable entry fee of $35 for Highlands Art League Members. $45.00 for Non- Members. A maximum of six (6) entries may be submitted per artist.  Visa and MasterCard payments are accepted thru the website. Artwork and Digital Images

For each submitted image please include the title, medium, price, year completed, and the FRAMED size for 2D. For 3D/sculpture please submit images of the work as well as the length, width, and height. To Email images please click the link above or email the artwork to
2D work must be properly framed with wire attached for hanging, Gallery wrapped canvases with finished edges are acceptable. 3D work limited to 70 lbs. maximum weight.
Write a detailed description of the medium for all work.
2D and 3D original work in all media completed in the last 60 months (5 years)
Giclee’s will be accepted in photography only.
Submitted Images must be clear and a true representation of the work. No digital alterations. Only the artwork in the submitted image.

Arrival dates: Shipped work must arrive between March 13, 2021- March 17, 2021 Due to our limited storage area, please be sure your works arrive in this timeframe only.
Artists are responsible for shipping and insuring their work. Shipped work must be insured during transport and sent in reusable containers. All claims for artwork damaged in shipment are the responsibility of the artist and shipper. Artists are financially responsible for arranging the return of any unsold artwork. A FedEx pre-paid return shipping label is required for any art that will be return shipped at the end of the exhibit that includes all fees (the shipper’s pick-up fee and the return shipping fee). The return label must be included with the shipment of the artwork to the museum.
Artwork Pick Up
Artists are responsible for making necessary arrangements to pick up their artwork. The Highlands Museum of the Arts (MoTA) and the Highlands Art League will not be responsible for unclaimed artwork after Monday, May 3, 2021
A 25% donation benefiting the Highlands Museum of the Arts (MoTA) will be deducted from all sales.


First Place will receive the following

·        A one-year membership to the Highlands Art League
·        Press release announcing them as a winner

Art Exchange at the Member Gallery in the HAL Gift Shop

Open Art Studio Days – HAL’s Gals & Pals

HAL members get together once a week (Tuesday mornings, 9am-noon; subject to availability) at HAL’s Visual Arts Center (VAC) for informal art sessions we call HAL’s Gals & Pals. Their artwork includes oil, acrylic, watercolor, color pencil, and digital art. They enjoy camaraderie, “gentle” critiquing of each other’s work, sharing tips and secrets.
