2017 Creative Kids Summer Camp
Summer Camp will be held in Highlands Museum of the Arts (351 W. Center Ave; next to the Highlands Little Theatre) as the Visual Art Center is currently undergoing renovations.
The Highlands Art League will be offering 4 weeks of Art Summer Camps. Each week will focus on a different theme and will be
filled with multiple art activities. The camps will provide kids the opportunity to learn new skills in the creative arts while advancing their art education focus. Students will learn about various artists and techniques that are used to create different styles of art, as well as take home knowledge about art and culture along with the projects they will create daily.
Schedule options include:
•Full Day: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
•Morning Half Day: 8:00 AM-Noon
•Afternoon Half Day: 1:00 PM-5:00 PM
Weekly Themes include:
Each week will include a fun theme to incorporate into the artwork. Camp sessions will be held Monday-Friday the following weeks:
•June 5-9 – Into the Jungle (Registration is now closed for Week 1) •June 12-16 – Wild West (Registration is now closed for Week 2)
•July 10-14 – Bugs and Butterflies
•July 17-21 – Dragons and Fairy Tales
Kids can sign up for either a full day or half day session each week; limited to 20 kids/week. Full day students will need to bring their own lunch. Camp registration is $60/half day/week or $100/full day/week.
